
About The Photographer
Adel B. Korkor was born in Latakia, a small port city on the Eastern Mediterranean in Syria. He was raised in Damascus, the oldest, continuously inhabited city in the world. Korkor came to the United States to complete his residency and specialized in Nephrology.
Korkor has been taking pictures for over 30 years and switched to digital photography reluctantly in 2002. Korkor and his family have traveled throughout the world and many of these trips have been with Lindblad Expeditions.
Korkor lives with his wife Mary, his two daughters Amira and Yara, and his two sons Bishara and Ramzi on a small hobby farm in Merton, Wisconsin.
